BOTOX INJECTIONS:(accepting appointments NOW!)
WHAT DOES IT TREAT?
-Horizontal Forehead Lines
-Lateral Canthal Areas (Crow’s Feet)
-Glabellar Area (frown lines between eyebrows)
-Bunny Lines (wrinkling of the nose)
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Botox injections block the signals between the nerve and the muscle, restricting the ability to contract of facial muscles. Little or no movement of the muscle means little to no movement of the skin above the muscle. Wrinkles are formed by repetitive movement of the skin. The product takes 3-14 days for full effect and typically lasts 3-4 months and possibly longer in some. Movement of the facial muscles will gradually return as the product wears off. With repeated injections the effects of Botox tend to last longer. Botox can be used as a preventative measure when injected prior to formation of lines. This injection will help existing lines fade/soften with time.
It has been noted that many patients who have suffered from migraines or tension headaches, had relief from symptoms after treating the forehead and glabellar areas.
-Adds fullness/volume to the cheeks, lips and under eyes
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Hyaluronic acid exists naturally in all living organisms. It is a universal component of the spaces between the cells of the body. Our skin carries the vast majority of hyaluronic acid (56%). Its primary function is to provide volume to the skin, and plays a role in cell growth.
As we get older our skin cells lose the ability to produce hyaluronic acid, and does not hold water as well. When Juvederm is injected into fine lines, wrinkles, or sunken areas of the face, it replenishes the hyaluronic acid that has been absorbed into the body over time.
Juvederm comes in many different formulas, which can each be used in different areas of the face. It provides visible, long lasting results that can last anywhere from 6-9 months, and even up to a year for some.
The active ingredient in Kybella is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that helps to break down and absorb dietary fat. When we inject this into the fat below the chin, Kybella destroys the fat cells, reducing the fullness under the chin over time. Once these cells are destroyed, they body can no longer store or accumulate fat in this area. Once you reach your desired look, further treatment is not needed. Kybella is the first and only injectable double chin treatment.
